The Manager of Marketing is responsible for building awareness of our organization and programming through developing and executing media campaigns.
As a manager, you will also be expected to put on a lot of different hats. As a self-starter and an entrepreneurial problem solver, you will bet asked to help our team of Directors improve our initiatives, The Minority Report and the Black Writer's in Focus.
As a flat and autonomous organization, the people that will thrive in this role are the ones that are entrepreneurial self-starters. You will get the opportunity to pitch your own programming and build from the ground up.

About your role
You must be available for 10 - 15 hours per week. Duties include but are not limited to:
- Leading our social media campaigns and ensuring accountability with our team members
- Interfacing with publicity executives to get national news coverage for Diverso
- Using Canva, viewing social media analytics, and managing all our platforms
- Working with our legal and accounting advisors to create a sustainable accounting and operational system for our organization
- Reading scripts, developing a strong sense of story development, and participating in weekly meetings
- Attending Weekly Meetings and any additional meetings needed for your programming team
- Working with our Director of Programming on scheduling panels and meetings with some of the top executives and artists in entertainment
- Improve and refine The Minority Report, an industry-vetted fellowship program for the nation’s top diverse student screenwriters
- A lot of cold e-mailing across entertainment and nonprofit sectors
- Pitching and building projects from the ground up that further empower diverse students to break into Hollywood
